If you are looking for a filament that is particularly robust and has a high resistance to oils and greases, you should use Spectrum smart-ABS filament. ABS material is next to PLA one of the most popular materials in 3D printing. The highly impact-resistant material impresses with its glossy surface and high mechanical strength and impact bending resistance.
Improved ABS material
The basis for the Spectrum smart-ABS filaments is the well-known ABS material, which is one of the most popular materials in 3D printing. The material is a high-quality amorphous thermoplastic with a high impact bending strength and a high dimensional tolerance accuracy. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer (ABS) in the smart" variant features improved processing parameters, a reduced shrinkage factor, an increased flow factor and an increase in mechanical strength. In addition, models made with Spectrum smart-ABS filaments are resistant to oils, greases and various chemicals. The material is also characterized by its high temperature resistance.
Irreplaceable thanks to versatile finishing options
It is not only the good adhesion between the faces and the glossy surface that make Spectrum's smart-ABS material so desirable, but also the fact that the material can be reworked after it has cooled down. You have the option of sanding, routing, drilling, sawing, painting all the models you have made with Spectrum smart-ABS filaments, or bonding them with 2-component glue or superglue. Thanks to the high impact bending strength, you can thus not only create decorative elements, but also have the possibility to produce all kinds of enclosures.
