Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark Filament
A decorative model by day and a glowing highlight by night. Create creative models that glow in the dark with the high-quality Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark Filaments. The filament combines all the properties of PET-G, can be processed as usual and has a high strength. Thanks to the enrichment of the material with phosphorescent pigments, the aesthetic effect is further increased, especially in the dark.
The material that glows
The filaments are manufactured on the basis of polyethylene terephthalate (PET-G). As a result, Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark filaments have, as usual, good creep resistance, a long service life and very low shrinkage. In order for the material to glow, Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark is enriched with concentrated phosphorescent pigments, which produces the effect of photoluminescence, or more precisely, a phosphorescence. This phenomenon makes it possible, after previous exposure to an external light source, to glow with its own light. The enrichment with the pigment does not cause any disadvantages for the material, because the pigments have a neutral effect on the material.
Decoration or signpost?
Since the PET-G Glow in the Dark filaments have the ability to glow on their own after prior exposure to light, the models produced are not only suitable as decorative objects, but can also be useful helpers in finding the way during power outages. By selectively controlling the wall thickness and filling density, you also have the ability to regulate" the light intensity of the elements.
Areas of application:
- Objects with significant decorative and artistic effect.
- Objects for easier identification of emergency exits in case of power failure
- Advertising and decoration industry in a broader sense
- Production of souvenirs, luminous gadgets and figurines.

Important Note: For a stronger and longer glow effect, leave the model exposed to the light source longer. The presence of a phosphor pigment can lead to abrasive wear of the brass nozzles, therefore the use of stainless steel nozzles is recommended for long-term use of Spectrum PET-G Glow in the Dark.
